Ria Gulian, ASID has a most diverse background when it comes to interiors. She has worked on projects such as custom and renovated homes, hospitality, medical, dental offices, yachts and commercial interiors. Ms. Gulian is the owner of Interior Designs by Ria, a Long Branch based interior design firm with a roster of satisfied clientele who applaud her design skills, her ability to listen, and her advocacy for the client in all phases of the project. Her staff is able to assist and answer questions expeditiously. Through years of networking and developing skills, Ria has established herself in the dental and hospitality industries.
Her understanding of construction from the ground up is a result of long and successful working relationships with many area builders and architects. She has been a member of the New Jersey Shore Builders Association and has worked closely with builders on several developments, including Holland Ridge Homes in Freehold and ShoreManagement/Renaissance in Eatontown. She has been involved in the selections of all interior specifications, from mouldings to custom cabinetry. Her renovation projects have earned accolades from clients for her ability to create an environment conducive to family's and staff's needs. She has been involved in the design and construction of large custom homes, putting her design knowledge to work on everything from kitchens to great rooms to home theater rooms.

Special expertise in boat design is an outgrowth of personal interests nurtured during her interior design studies in Ft. Lauderdale, the boating capital of the United States. She has designed a complete range of boat interiors including salons and galleys, on both new and refurbished boats, in sizes ranging up to 60'.
Ms. Gulian is a professional member of ASID. Her association with the organization began while studying interior design at the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale. She started its first ASID Student Chapter and served as president. This experience fostered an ongoing commitment to mentoring interior design students. Ria is on the advisory committee for the interior design program at Brookdale Community College and has also served on the advisory committed for Tufenkian Tibetan Carpets in New York CIty. She has served the NJ ASID Chapter as Board Member, Treasurer and President.
Ria is an NCIDQ-certified interior designer since 1983. She has participated in area show houses, including the 1998 "Grand View" Show House (The Wiedeke Estate/Bayville) which earned her a Bronze Award for Design Excellence from the New Jersey Chapter of ASID. Gold, silver and bronze awards were also won for catagories such as Whole House Over 5,ooo Sq FT, Showhouse, Kitchen, Public Spaces and Residential Bath. Ria collaborated with the architect and builder on a custom home, located on the Toms River, that was on a public house tour for the "White Pine Twig Community Medical Center/" Ria has been nominated to the "Alumni Wall of Fame" at her alma mater. The Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, for her leadership accomplishments in the interior design field. Other show houses include the 1997 "Celebration of Broadway" (West Long Branch), and the 1995 "Grand View Show House" (Holmdel). Her work has appeared in many publications, including House Beautiful, New Jersey Monthly, Design New Jersey, New Jersey Countryside, Elegance by Design, New York Spaces, New Jersey Savy, Monmouth Health and Life, The Asbury Park Press, Star Ledger and Elegant Lifestyles Magazine.
